Just curious what schools are unhappy with their current head coach.
I think it is safe to say that every Vandal fan wants Perry out of the head spot. We will probably have to wait for the end of the season to find out anything, though.
Well not because of being unhappy but there are some rumors that Fox may be leaving to Missouri
I dont think its his fault that IDAHO cant come up with a winning record.
Perhaps they need to fire their athletic director and punish all the kids who'd play basketball for any college other than IDAHO. 05-stirthepot
Riley Wallace is coaching his second the the last season. There are a few reasons why..thats being

-His health
-Fans want to see a new side of rainbow basketball
-Fans want to see Nash take a shot at being head coach
With Riley Wallace being a lame duck coach, what effect will this have on recruiting?
Sparty - It will have an effect.

The Hawaii AD made a mistake in informing Wallace that 2007 was his last year as coach for Hawaii. Of course, Wallace then announced it to the world.

Hawaii needs to find and name a replacement for Wallace before the next recruiting season starts...or sooner.
Hopefully we can get a current assistant coach at one of the top schools who wants to be a head coach. Anyways we already had a commitment for next year, but getting others to come knowing he will only be their coach for one year might be hard..

If USU loses an assistant this year (may very well happen to a head coaching position that is opening in-state) look for USU to go after Perry. I would love to have that guy on our bench.

He was offered the assistant HC position at USC with Tim Floyd before this season started. Floyd may open that position for him if Perry departs Idaho this year; I would imagine he would be comfortable at USU, as well. That could make Idaho uncomfortable...

It's also not impossible that Perry could get the last year on his contract at Idaho.

I don't think it's a great idea that Perry return, and the Vandal fans seem to pulling for an Erickson-like return of a former Idaho big name (like Dan Monson or Bret Collier, if either is fired from Minnesota or Nebraska). Perry's return could push our low attendance into open mutiny. It's a bad deal, particularly since it involves a good guy (demonstrated by his still holding some good will in Vandal land despite the miserable records these past two seasons) who's probably a pretty good coach. We certainly don't help these guys out by our facilities and fan support (Cable, Holt, Perry), and now seem to be banking on messiah figures to resurrect the program (Erickson, Monson, Collier). Something tells me it's going to take more alumni and booster blood, sweat, and money to get where we want to be than just the hiring process...
