Host? nice....

A&M travels well.
That is kind of misleading since the game will be in Shreveport and not really in Ruston where it would count more I think. However those are good games but I don't think Nevada is going after 2 for 1 contracts for football anymroe.

I disagree. S-Port is about a 30 min. drive away and we play them there because our stadium holds 30k vs. Sports 50K. More people equal more money. Its not like we are playing several hours away in New Orleans and calling it a home game.

Your telling me Nevada wouldn't take a 2 for 1 with a good Pac10 team? Can you get BCS home games whenever you want? Share your secret. As a conference mate you should let us know so we can better ourselves.
Tech is averaging ~41K fans for BCS opponents hosted in Shreveport. There would be about 11K fans/game who couldn't attend due to capacity constraints if Tech hosted these games in Ruston instead of Shreveport. That would be a very poor business decision.

The Clemson and Texas A&M games should each be sellouts (nearly 50K attendance) or close to it.

What I am saying is that I would like to see those games at Ruston. That was the point I was making because to me it doesn't feel the same as at another stadium. However according to our athlete department we are not going to take anymore 2 for 1 deals with teams. We have money games coming up or have signed 1 and 1 but unless they have changed their mind, they won't be doing the 2 for 1 anymore.

Sorry but I promised in another thread to correct only glaring errors and your post qualifies as one. It is about 65mi from Ruston to Shreveport and takes about 1hr. You play them there because THEY WONT GO TO RUSTON NO MATTER HOW BIG YOUR STADIUM IS.
Boise State has been able to get a 1 for 1 with Oregon and Oregon State but that is it. We have offered a few 2 for 1 but no takers. That is
the reason we don't play any big time BCS teams to often.
We were getting MWC teams to come to Boise (Utah-New Mexico) but
after beating them both home and away they don't seem eager to
participate any more, Wyoming is on the docket this year in Laramie and next year in Boise, but that is it for MWC teams.

GO WAC

Dang straight. True football fans can make it in 30 or less. I would say going the speed limit you can make it in closer to 45.
