Miami moved to 2-0 and further demostrated that the MAC is having a good November so far. 15-5 record combined by Miami, Ohio, Kent State, Bowling Green State, Western Michigan and Akron. MAC is beating enough midmajors so far to post good rpi numbers. Miami was on espnu and they looked strong again.

MAC has the 5th best rpi against the top ranked schedule.
Miami is now guarenteed at least two games on ESPN2.
Kinda of a sloppy game. But Miami's tenacious "D" makes most games look that way.

The Redhawks nearly imploded in the last four minutes. Uncharacteristicly taking shots with lots of time left on the clock, missing three straight free throws, turnouts due to a press. Hopefully their guard has learned not to try dribbling out of the double and triple teams!

So Cal will be a tough test and a quality "W" if Miami can turn the screws on 'em.
Bramos was on fire. Miami controlled that game until late. Almost let it get away from them.

I would love to see them upset USC and have them play SIU, who I believe can get by Miss. St. Two similar styles and a win over SIU would be great for the MAC. The Broncos have SIU coming up soon, as well.
USC beats Fiami. USC's quickness and athleticism exploited the Redhawks.
Exploited...well, I guess....lead changed hands many times, and we eventually lost 57-53.....we couldn't hit any key shots down the stretch.
Miami was two or three steps slower than USC. I remember one play when Pollitz was in the block. He came out to get the ball, his defender stepped around him and stole it. Nasty. Can't rely on your 6"3 power forward for everything.
USC finally managed to keep the ball out of Pollitz's hands in the final couple of minutes. Still, Miami did a fine job and that game was in doubt until the final minute. Way to represent, Redhawks. 04-cheers

It may not be the most exciting brand of ball to watch, but I do love watching Coles' teams and the way they can dictate their pace and style. I really did want to see them vs. SIU.......
