Way to go Redhawks !!!!!!!!!!!

Miami looked great tonite. They looked everybit like the defending MAC Champions tonite.
That was a great game. Typical Charlie-ball. Props to Bramos - gets fouled behind the arc and converts all three FTs for the winning margin.

Nice win, Miami!
Way to go, RedHawks. Well done.04-bow04-bow
The MAC is now 2-0 against Cincinnati-area teams.
Nice win against a traditionally strong program.
Nice wins for both Miami and Buffalo tonight
MAC has done well so far as a group. Except for a couple scores the losses have been respectable and we have beaten some teams that are getting more national attention than the MAC. New Mexico State, Xavier, Missouri State are top 100 teams that are always around the bubble. The fact that the MAC has handed these teams early L's might help the MAC get a team into the bubble. Xavier and New Mexico State should be strong in their leagues.

You begin to look up and down the schedules and see how these non-conference teams are starting out for each team.
bgs win over belmont was a good win. belmont is a from a lower profile mid major league but they've been to 2 straight ncaas and bg handled em.

western is where they've been for a few yrs. competitive but also average.

akron should be good this year.

buffalo don't scare me, but its good to see a 2nd division mac team beat a lesser big east team.

if ut had a point guard on the floor, like they should later in the season (their senior star is on a personal leave, and their recruit is waiting for ncaa review of his transcripts) they beat vandy. it's not a bad start.

you notice how some folks are already talking about how bad the mac is when they are playing better as a league.
I like Charlie Coles but that is some ugly basketball that Miami plays. The system works though, seeing how their best player is a 6"4 unathletic power forward.

For those of us who know something about the game, we know that CC is one of the best. Winning smart is winning beautiful. Then there is OU who can really lose beautifully. 04-cheers

I'm not sure that Xavier's 6'9" athletic PF Derrick Brown feels the same after Tim Pollitz hung 21 on him and the rest of the athletic big men that Xavier has...and had 7 rebounds as well.

Another unathletic performance from Tim Pollitz.

This is the same unathletic player who was the MAC Tournament MVP after averaging 22.0 ppg, 7.3 rpg and shooting 75.6 percent from the field.

Here's hoping that Miami continues to recruit unathletic players like Tim Pollitz.

GFlash, I said that CC's system works. He is one of my favorite personalities out there in college. Jim Christian also has a good thing going at Can't as well.
TPollitz is not a great leaper and he doesn't have great speed, but he's incredibly athletic by any other measure: strength, hand/eye, balance, vision. Add in amazing court sense, unmatched positioning and you have the best player in the conference. Unathletic? Seriously...
I do understand how people who think athleticism is flying dunks and and swatting balls into the seats would be underwhelmed by his decidedly unflashy game. This from a guy who saw him all through high school and would have bet money he would be a D-II player. I have changed my mind a long time ago.

I think Mr. Tillman at Ohio would have something to say about who is the best player in the conference.
If Miami/OU traded Pollitz for Tillman, Ohio would be the better team for it. No disrespect to Tillman who is on my All-MAC first team. One-on-one in a open floor or great individual plays--sure: Tillman. But in a game situation, Pollitz makes the whole team better.
Put TPo next to Leon? Holy crap.
Well, I'll stay loyal w/ Rome.

Rome & Leon > Pollitz & Other Tall White Guy
yea. You go ahead. I'll stick with TPo through thick and thin.
Pollitz and Bramos are prime time players. You have two guys that can score with their tempo and defense and Miami is always in games. Ohio players Tillman and Williams have to stay out of foul trouble to be effective. If Williams can find a way a cut down on the fouls, he could really dominate inside as Tillman would get lots of attention with the ball.
OUBJ, Bramos is overrated. He has good games but he has just as many games where he is ice cold from the field.
