Big Foot, Loch Ness Monster, Area 61 and I can support the troops but not their mission. Truth is you cannot. By actively protesting against their mission you make it harder for the troops to complete their mission. The Viet Nam war would have ended in 1968 with a South Viet Nam USA victory if not for uncle Walter and the anti war protesters. The Tet offensive was the Viet Nam war battle of the bulge. A last ditch surprise attack that failed completely. The North was open to negotiations of a cease fire and surrender but Uncle Walter came back and broadcasted all over US TV that the war was unwinable. Then the anti war protesters gave the North and the Viet con emotional support and kept then fighting until congress defunded the troops and forced a withdrawl. So each time you say we support the troops but not their actions you are actually saying we are supporting the enemy.

What you say is absolutely, spot-on correct, but the naysayers truly don't understand what you're talking about. 03-banghead
Isn't it Area 51?
I was about to mention George Washington Carver not inventing anything yet being known somehow as inventing peanut butter.
I still feel stupid for telling my kids he invented PB. Now you know.....the rest of the story.
I "invent" peanut butter every time I chew a handful of peanuts.
area 51 is correct. Sometime fat fingers hit a 6 instead of a 5.

It is inaccurate to say that "George Washington Carver (did) not invent anything".

It is the alternative products he derived from Southern agricultural crops, other than cotton, such as peanuts, sweet potatos and pecans that Carver identified, defined or "invented". Many of them were simply food products, but some were cosmetics, paints and stains, that he received U.S. patents for. He was also a proponant of crop rotation.

Carver would be akin in todays society, to a scientist or someone developing, say ethanol, or a bio-fuel from corn perhaps, or maybe a similar use for kudzu. He was a fore runner in this type of field, primarily with the peanut.

No reason to knock Carver. He was a good man. Perhaps a better example of a myth would be Al Gore inventing the internet.

BTW Area 51 is real. (Though there is a lot of mis-information out there)

What a crock. Both Vietnam and Iraq were HUGE mistakes. Both Johnson and Dubya will rot for sacrificing our soldiers for a lie.
