Remember when there was a lot of 'why have a game at noon' questions? What dummy picked noon on a weekday?
I, of course, pointed out that the game couldn't be played tonight because of a scheduling conflict.
Then, of course, I suggested a 4:00 p.m. double header - hoops at 4 and FB at 7:30. (complete with a buffet in the Convo Center for those who attended the bball game).
Would that have worked? Probably.
However, EMU DID do something very, very smart - turn the game into an EDUCATION day.
What school, beside EMU, could have 20 buses of elementary school kids at a noon game?
MSU? Don't have 1,000 seats for the kids.
I thought this morning that we'd see 250 folks at the game.
I didn't think that EMU would take the 'scheduling conflict' and turn it into a big plus.
Kudos to whomever dreamt it up.
And 5th graders won't remember tomorrow that Brown shot over 50% behind the arc.
They were probably more interested in the t-shirts and pizza and being kids.
