Go G-Webb! I believe the ol' conference RPI might improve a little bit if they can hang on. I've never been a Joe Crawford fan at UK, to me his career has been a symbol of Kentucky's deteoriation as a basketball program over the last 10 years.

Last year and this year's recruiting class for GW was very good according to various recruiting services. Apparently it is paying off.

Here's a great quote from an ESPN article on the game. This is from Coach Scruggs of G Webb:
Gardner-Webb, which is leaving the Atlantic Sun for the Big South in 2008-09, was picked eighth in the conference by the media and coaches in the preseason. Could there really be seven better teams in the A-Sun than Gardner-Webb?
"I hope the league isn't strong enough that we're eighth or 10th, since we were picked that low by one publication," Scruggs said. "If we can beat Kentucky and can't beat some of them [in the A-Sun], then our [league] is going to be tough."
A rematch wouldn't even be a fair fight. Congrats to GW, overlooked by UK like they were overlooked in the coaches poll. Weird he's talkin big about the ASun on the way out. May be a side jab to the coaches poll. Either way, I'll take it.
And we'll take beating their ASSES during the regular season.
The Announcers really like Grayson Flittner. Could he be the best player in the A-Sun?
