Did you see the Chips at Waldo last night?
Good commentary, cool story about the Bronco
who is commander of the USS Kitty Hawk.
Exciting game, too!

For our viewing pleasure tonight we get that
senile hillbilly Lou Holtz. Time for the mute button
when they start slobbering over the BC$.
Go Ohio (by more than 3)!!

Oh no, not another night of this. 03-lmfao
Say what you will and I never cared much for LouH myself even before he became an analyst, the senile hillbillie did predict Akron's return for a TD an Ohio kickoff because of how Bobcats deployed their D on the kickoff.
Akron pass and run support D looking more porous than a colander.

I hate to say it but both of these teams look like 1AA teams. The teams in the game last night looked better but not by that much.
both have played much better as game progressed.

Announcers have tended to be complimentary and in agreement including Mark May whose opinion I greatly admire.

While the two games and level of play is different from last nite to tonite, the quality of the video, camera work and sharper images are much better for viewing tonite. Tues nite looked like video from a HS game .

Last 30 seconds was NOT good sportsmanship by either coaching staffs.

Didnt have a chance to see the game, what happened at the end between the coaching staffs?
Did you notice how empty the stands were ? The MAC is killing it's fan base with thes mid week games.

Nice piece on Alron's new stadium.

Sigh. It isn't killing anything. Neither of those teams have huge fan bases in the first place. There are plenty of other schools who play on weekdays that have no problems getting the fans to the games. The problem with the MAC(especially Ohio and Michigan teams) is a majority of the residents and students don't know or care about about MAC teams. They are Michigan, Michigan State or Ohio State etc fans. The other teams pretty much have not been successful thus drawing few fans. Toledo and NIU are about the only 2 teams that draw well but even that can change.
You're right, I guess you can't kill a fan base that you don't have.

I miss Bill Curry doing MAC games on ESPN. Mark May is good, too, but Curry was the only one who didn't ever make a condescending remark about doing the games. I hate when some ******* makes it abundantly clear that this midweek tilt is slowing down his rendezvous with Saturday Night Primetime.

That said, MAC football is truly painful to watch this season. For the first time in a long time, the conference deserves its national standing as above the Sun Belt, but not much else.
