Hey EMU fans:

Checking in to get your take on the EMU-BG game. I was at last year's contest and have to say the Hurons/Emus/Eagles played an incredibly intense game, taking the Falcons to the limit.

What's the mood of the team this year?

As you have probably figured, BG has been running hot and cold all year. In MAC play, we really laid eggs against Ohio and Miami, but played very well against Kent, Akron and Temple. We never know which team is going to show up.
i haven't really followed BG that closely this year, so it's good to hear that they have been inconsistent. inconsistency, especially on the offensive side of the ball, has been our downfall. i think our only chance is if you guys are very weak against the run.

I think the weather and dismal season to date will keep everyone away from this game. So, if you're coming up to watch it, expect an empty house.

Friday night's weather might be nasty. This might slow down BG's pass oriented offense.

If EMU can continue to run the ball effectively it should be a good ballgame.
Our defense, specifically our run defense, has been inconsistent, at best. If you have a good ground game, that could really wreak havoc. When our defense is on, it's very tough, but that hasn't happened often enough this year.

We've been pretty creative on offense recently, so I think we'll find ways to move the ball, no matter the weather.

I am interested to see the attendance, though.
We don't have a good ground game, but if we could get something going, i think it could lead to a good passing game. We have a good quarterback, and a very promising backup, but no one can get open downfield, so they have to check down to little 3-5 yard dump passes. I think a running game would provide more 1 on 1 coverage deep.
