Love these MAC during the week. I like them before Temple was in the MAC, Now I get to watch them with some pasion
TFF: These games are a pain from an attendance perspective, but for those of us here on the East Coast, they are an awesome way to see more of our conference!

I guess if you don't have any fans(or most of yours cheer for a team other than yours, you know like a certain school about 125 miles south of BG) it is something you should worry about. Of course, other conferences seem to be successful in getting fans to these games. But we will ignore that so we can continue to whine about national coverage so we can be a regional tv conferece because it is best. 05-stirthepot
Weather perfect, 40 degree's & drizzle, Can't take the wife & kids. Couple buddies, a flask, Chbuger & couple gin's after game.
It's a pain-in-the-arse for SE Michigan (Detroit area) fans who have to make a three-hour trek in either direction for the rivalry game, so I'd just as soon it stayed on Saturday. Since I have to work in the morning, I'll be watching at the local sports bar. 04-cheers

I think you should change your name to: Bandwagon. 05-stirthepot
Well, a Tuesday night game in November in Michigan will be cold, windy and snowy. Lots of alums won't be able to make it. I hope there is a decent crowd but had this game been on a weekend, it probably would have drawn 7 - 10K more fans.

Just glad it is on ESPN2 so I can see it out here on the high plains.

Go Broncos!! Kick the Chips! 03-nutkick
Irregardless of attendance.... these games put the MAC on the map. It's refreshing for my coworkers down here in the Carolina's NC to discuss MAC football during the week, and there have been some incredible games over the last few years to say the least!

As they say, there is no such thing as bad publicity 04-cheers

Not trying to be the annoying "spelling cop" but there is no such word as "irregardless". Just for your info.
Actually crowd don't look bad. Maybe MAC has to start looking at seniro on what team draws & when. Come on CMICHFAN take vacation day, hang in kalamozo bar all night & sleep in car.

Not trying to be contrary but both Merriam and his buddy Webster disagree.

Irregardless originated in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its fairly widespread use in speech called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that “there is no such word.” There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance. Use regardless instead.

It must be one of those potato/potatoe things except opposite(over time the "e" was dropped). When I grew up "irregardless" was not an official word but must have been added as an official word sometime in recent years. This appears to be the case if you go by Wikipedia(though we know it is not always right).
Thursday games aren't quite so bad, but pretty tough to get a decent crowd on a Tueday night in November.....plus the weather in Michigan is really crummy tonight.

I believe the refs in tonight's WMU/CMU game just proved your statement false.

Tell me, which is worse: the season NIU is having, or the one the Bears are having? 05-stirthepot

It may be a word, but to add the two extra letters is redundant, unnecessary, and superfluous. Some do it to be funny and humorous. 03-wink

I was mostly just messing with you. Certainly not in common use, nor should it be.
