Lee, hope you don't mind me stealing your thunder, but I caught a glimpse of the early lines leaving work tonight...

CMU (-3) at Western

Ohio (-3) at Akron
BGSU (-4) at EMU
Penn St (-23) at Temple
Kent St (-4) at NIU

So here we are, Western, the home-dog.
no problem....

My only hope is that this thread does not turn into the faggotry that ensued in the Week 10 MAC lines thread.
Based on what I read last week, WMU was going to get 9 to 11 points. Now its 3 points. Is someone trying to tell us something?

People are betting different then originally expected. That's what the lines are based on after all.

I actually understand that people are betting differently, the question is why?

Quote:Head to head

The Chippewas and the Broncos have split the last four games, but Western Michigan has covered in four of the last five meetings. Despite the fact that both teams boast strong offenses, four of the last five meetings have gone under the total.

Central Michigan has covered in four of its last five games overall, while Western has won against the spread just once in its last eight contests.

This was an opening line....ie, it hadn't been bet any direction when it came out.
So here's the problem. I'd love to bet the Broncos as a home dog. Let's be honest, rivalry games can usually result in all notable facets of the game being thrown out of the window.

But my problem is
1. Western always seems to mess the bed on national TV...(international bowl, NIU, multiple Toledo games)
2. We've went far below our expectations for this year and continue to underperform.

What reason should we have to expect to pull out a win tonight?
The over has come in at 67. Seems a bit high with the weather factor. Must be the CMU D :"(
Yea lets face it the game tonight comes down to turnovers...neither teams defense is playing as well as the fans had hoped for....so this game comes down to what teams offense helps out the other teams defense. If WMU doesn't turn the ball over they will win...if they turn it over like the Eastern game they will lose it is really that simple.
Lake Mich, where'd you see it at 67? It's 61 all over Vegas here.
