Charlie Weis, the pompous coach that he is, went for it on 4th down near the end of the 4th quarter instead of kicking the game winning FG.

They couldn't convert EITHER of the 2 pt tries they had after the TD. Congrats to Navy.

Yes, that penalty on the 1st try was awfully close to call in that situation. But the refs couldn't help the 2nd time.

I'm proud of Navy. I watched this game today as it was a very exciting game. Weis is a moron for not kicking the fg. Notre Dame has hit rock bottom with Weiss, who is a disaster of a head coach.

Could someone please explain why Charlie is so much better than Ty Willingham? I must have missed something.

The ND folks are claiming that Ty left the cupboard bare and that is why Charlie lost to Navy. Geezus, how many Blue Chip recruits is Navy fielding these days? ND has them 22-0 in 4 and 5 Star recruits, so if having all the talent on your side doesn't win, maybe it is coaching? Charlie sold the ND administration a sack of crap and they seem to be happy they bought it.

This is why I Don't like OT. ND could have gone for 2 at the end of regulation with less than minuate. They play 3 OT, kids are getting hurt & they game comes down ND going for 2.

This is just a guess. It may have something to do with how ND was "forced" to hire Ty and Charlie was THEIR choice so they do have to support him.

I think this is the first time Ball State has beaten a team than beat Notre Dame in the same season. And both games were overtimes.

Personally, I'd love to have Notre Dame give Charlie Weiss a lifetime contract!!
