I don't think the team cared. This team looks like it gave up after Wisconsin kicked our a$$ last weekend.

Some might look at it that way, but when asked about it he said that going for the for sure points and a field goal was what he thought would be running up the score. He figured, if we just run a regular play and NIU doesn't stop in then it was just execution and not running up the score. And not to mention that a true freshman QB (3rd on the depth chart to start the season) and a true freshman 3rd string running back were in the game at that point. Some guys that never get to play also caught their first career passes tonight in WR Robin Bailey and TE Tom Burzine.

If Toledo really wanted to run up the score they would have kept more 2nd teamers in the game, and starters in the game the entire first half, and score at least 84 points.
