In a game that is playing 11 offensive players on each team versus 6 defenders:
CMU 28 - Kent State 19 early in 2nd Qtr.
It's a shame this game is not on TV.
Kent State defense must have not known there was a game today.
Kent State's defense isn't playing much worse than CMU. It is now 31 - 19 with 9 min to go in 2nd Qtr.
16 for 19 and 3 TDs for LeFevour.
Is there something wrong with the turf at Kent State? Lots of players slipping and sliding around.
CMU's leading tackler (LB Red Keith) and best CB (Gordy) are being held out to get well for next week's...contest...
As well as that against EMU. That probably has something to do with our defensive issues today. That doesn't excuse the iffy tackling by our safeties today, though.
Only listening to the radio, but it sounds like Jarvis is really something.
As for the turf, I hear there's light rain in NW Ohio right now. Probably has a lot to do with the bad footing.

That would be a good theory -- if the game was in the Glass Bowl.
Actually, if the game was in the Glass Bowl, the weather wouldn't matter. It would be slippery.

They're stuck in traffic with all of the fan buses, hopefully they get there before the game is over.
38 -33 CMU still in the lead, but it is getting interesting.
Whichever team in the MAC comes up with a defense next year will win the league. I have never seen defenses as bad as what I have seen this year.

3rd FG and also an XP. Considering they are without Edelman and starting a true-freshman QB that was supposed to redshirt, the offense looked pretty decent. The defense missing Jacques and banged up throughout, looked absolutely terrible in the 1st half. they made some adjustments and actually had a couple stops in the second half, but at the end of the day they got pummeled by CMU. Giorgio Martin looked good, he'll be giving Edleman a run for his money next season.

Hey, it takes time to turn a program around. You can't expect a winning season more than every ten years or so. Besides, don't expect so much as we're young with a young head coach who is still learning. As Dean Pees told us in 2001, we are ready to turn the corner. Just wait to see how awesome we are next year.
That's our story and we're sticking to it.

I'm just supporting our coach and his explanations. We're a young team. He's a young head coach. Awful officials are assigned to our games. All of this is going to change next year, when once again we will be an awesome team, especially in practice. Hoo boy, you should see the way we practice. Any one of these next ten years, we are going to have a winning season, just you wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. And wait. And wait.
