That just does not seem right.....you would think they would be putting up a fight on this one.

La. Tech should be in C-USA I think.

I wouldn't say nobody wanted us .... The WAC chose us after all.
Louisiana Tech (an Indy in football) was angling to get into a conference and align themselves with the former SWC teams that were, at the time, in the WAC. Those teams being Rice, SMU etc ... The other choice was to stay in the SBC and help found a fledgling 1-A football league. The WAC had better conference revenue and a more certain future than the Sun Belt and most importantly, more bowl tie ins. You have to consider that Louisiana Tech had been screwed by bowl committees in seasons where they had 8 and 9 wins in years just prior to the move and in the south football is king so opportunities there were a big consideration.
In time those same teams then left and joined CUSA leaving Tech as the isolated island from the former EWAC. Clearly geographically speaking Louisiana Tech is a better fit in CUSA or the SBC but its kind of tough to argue with the move. It has served us well.

Well I think the additon of La Tech to the Sunbelt would be a better move than USA. The Sunbelt is getting better every year and with the additon of La Tech it would make a stronger confrence . The only attractions for La Tech to the USA have already left for the East
