A Zip upset busts the East race w-i-i-i-i-i-de open (Miami, Akron, Buffalo and Akron would all be in the mix) while the Bulls can take a big step toward the once-unthinkable - a division title and trip to the MACC game.

Is Akron up to the task? Are the Bulls ready to start putting a stranglehold on their division lead?
You know the MAC is upside-down when a win over Buffalo is considered an upset.

This game is very big. Right now, Akron, Buffalo, Bowling Green, and Miami control their own destinies. They each have only one division loss and winning out would win them the East. If Akron beats Buffalo, they would own the head-to-head tiebreaker, and if Buffalo wins they will be 3-0 and in control. This is a must-win for Akron, while if Buffalo loses they are still in the race. I predict a close game, but an Akron win since they are coming off a bye-week, and Buffalo has a dissapointing in-state "rivalry" loss to overcome.
This is a big weekend here at UB against Akron. Friday night Men's Soccer Akron @ UB for the MAC regluar season title, and then the football game on Saturday. It's finally nice to see some hype around campus.
Go Bulls!02-13-banana
I got root for them zips... Puts Temple back in the heat of it...

Buffalo has no division losses. If they win out they win the East. If Miami and BG win out and Buffalo loses two I believe Miami wins on head to head? So not all these teams control their own finish.
BG does not controll their destiny. If Miami wins out, BG could only tie Miami at 5-1 and would lose the tiebreaker. No one else could also finish 5-1. I actually think every MACEast divisional game is big. All 7 teams finishing 3-3 is not out of the question, and 4-2 could well get you part of the title.
This game is absolutely huge, and I love it, I love the fact that the MAC is soo competitive right now and I love the fact that Kent State is near the bottom where they belong (I say that only because Flash Fan Flamed First) lol!

Heres to a good game and good luck to both teams, but obviously Go Cleveland State Akron VikaRoos! (Some may get that others may not)
Akron took care of business at the Mens Soccer game winning 1-0 last night and now effectively controls the conference in that sport. Now it's up to the football team to do the same. Our best tackler and the heart of the team, John Mackey, will be returning today only THREE weeks after an ACL tear. The man is a beast and the team will be fired up for him. Expect to see the defense that showed up against OSU earlier this year.
