CMU leading 33-9 with 6:00 left in 2nd quarter.
CMU leads 33-16 at halftime. Some special teams issues in the first half, as we simply missed on two PATs and gave up a safety due to a high snap on a punt. 01-lauramac2 Army intercepted us with under 2:00 left in the first on a pass deflection, but CMU true Freshman LB Nick Bellore returned the favor, intercepting Army's Dunn (one of two QBs who has played so far) in our red zone. 02-13-banana The CMU defense has forced five turnovers so far! 04-rock
40-16, CMU with 10:17 in 4th.
40-23, CMU with 7:45 left in game.
47-23 CMU with 4:20 left in game.
FINAL: CMU-47, Army 23.
Dan Lefevour with two TDs passing and four rushing! 04-bow Josh Gordy with three picks, one returned for a TD. 04-cheers

Congrats. Must be nice to have a real QB. 03-weeping

Next week's game: @ Clemson. Ouch!

Depends. If the team that showed up in Lawrence and West Lafayette shows up, it'll be ugly. If the team that played NDSU shows up, we'll get murdered. If the team continues it's play of the last three weeks, anything could happen. We have to slow down Clemson's rushing attack, our offense has to keep executing, and our special teams need to make plays. Against Clemson, that's entirely possible, as the Tigers' kick return coverage is suspect.

Intangibles: Clemson had an extra week to prepare for us, and I doubt the Tigers are looking ahead to Maryland (no offense, Terps fans). Also, Death Valley is one of the ultimate home fields in college football. Also, will Red Keith (tweaked his knee today but returned to the game) and Sneed (bone bruise in the foot, has been out two+ weeks) or anyone else with injuries play? Maybe we should rest 'em?

Still, far from comfortable with the defense, CMF. Even with the picks and fumble recoveries, we let Army out of the hole multiple times. I don't like the continuance of big yardage given by this defense.

True, but you've gotta admit, the "D" is getting stronger by the week. At least Clemson is not explosive on offense. If we can slow down their running game and force some turnovers, we can stay in the game.
Good to see CMU finally win an OOC game, even if it's against Army. I can't figure out the Chips...they lose badly to other IA OOC teams, they lose to a IAA team, and then they cream a solid BSU squad!

We can't figure them out yet, either. That's why some of us (me) are still nervous.
