When I was selecting the hardware to purchase for our new server, I discovered a little something interesting. NCAAbbs pays for hosting "by space." By that I mean, we are charged for how much ROOM we take up in their datacenter, not how much traffic or power or whatever we consume.

This is what our current server, "The Waterboy" looks like:

Notice that it's basically one computer in there. Well, we'll be able to purchase this baby:

If you look closely, the second one is actually TWO COMPUTERS crammed into that same amount of space.

This means we'll be needing TWO names since we'll effectively have two new servers for only marginally more than the cost of one! Better still, it cuts how much space we use in the datacenter (and thus our hosting costs) in half!

So, given the change, here are the slightly modified election rules:

We will vote on the new name of the second server based upon the size of each group's donations. It will be similar to electoral college vote. For example: If Northern Illinois donated 40% of all the donations, the name they chose for the new server would get 40 of the 100 total votes. And there is (almost) no restrictions on what you can name the server. PhilFulmerIsALardArse? Go for it. AppyStateOwnsMichigan? Rock on. The choice is up to you. The top two vote getters, regardless of percentage of total vote, win.
