The hated Illini win (albeit against a HORRID opponent), the Cubs beat up on crappy opponenets, Bears lose, Huskies may have more injuries, Toledo won, just an overall crappy sports weekend. But the good thing is....HAWKS BEAT THE BLUES at the UC tonight!! Hockey season just around the corner clc, I think they will be at least a 4 seed in the playoffs this year.
Didnt see this thread until just now MD, lol...but i am very optimistic as well about this season! LOTS of young talent on our roster, no denying that. A 4-seed is very optimistic, and it really depends how our youngsters mature throughout the season. I could see us definitely at least making the playoffs though. I also get Comcast where im living now so i get to watch the away games now! :)
Two things wrong with this post..
1. Indiana is hardly bad. They dominated arguably the best team in the MAC. If you're gonna say Indiana is horrid then that's a diss to the entire MAC.
2. Cubs winning? Have you been paying attention to baseball this week?? If Yost had his priorities straight (getting pitchers ejected by throwing at Pujols) the Cubs would be sitting home again this postseason.
However, I do applaud you for not celebrating the death of an individual like some of the members of this board have. The guy might have been a Grade A ******* but damn people it's not like he's Osama Bin Laden....

Which MAC team are you talking about? WMU and Akron so far do not look like the top team. BGSU, Ohio, and BSU look better than those two so far.

I'm talking about Akron.. the same team that beat Kent State and played Ohio State tough.
How can you say Ohio has looked better? They eeked out wins against Delaware State and La Lafayette! Ball State and BGU, I'll give you. But I still say Akron wins the East.
