The level of class shown by Idaho fans was insane. We were constantly approached and never disrespected by Vandal fans all day. Everyone was happy we came out and each had friendly stories to share. Vandal fans have rocketed to my #1 hospitable fan base ever. Thanks for being such great hosts!
They should be treated just as well when they come to DeKalb in 09

Of course our jack @$$ students will prevent a good return trip for Vandal fans.

I'm sure all the @$$holes will have graduated by then. We'll finally have that dream fanbase.

In all seriousness, that's good to hear. We can't police everybody, but those of us here can do whatever possible to make sure visiting fans are treated with respect.

Yeah, we pretty much told everyone that if they have a hard time with the students to seek out the alum. But man, it still continues. Vandals came ane congratulated us at dinner, and as we parked at a grocery store for more booze they came up to the car and shook our hands through the window. Unreal, and awesome.
Yeah, I was just waiting for someone to talk some trash, but it never came. Honestly, it was a little overwhelming how friendly and kind they where. We tailgated right in the middle of the student section and people were coming over non stop and talking to us, including traditional frat boys.
Well that is very classy and impressive!

Most Iowans might have done the same, it just takes a few jackassess to give a bad perception.
That's awesome. You guys should go on the Vandal board and tell them how great of hosts they were.

I will when I get home, I am just too lazy right now to do so.
Good game Huskies! You have a heck of a defense.

I'm glad you enjoyed your time in Moscow. I was at the game too...It's great to see so many of you guys at the game.

We have some ******* students too, like any college team does. 04-cheers
How well did we represent in the Kibbie Dome? I imagine that there weren't more than 50 NIU fans at the game.
I think there were about 50 plus of you guys.

I didn't expect that many fans to travel that far! Unless you have a lot of alums in the Northwest....

Props to the painted guys too. 03-wink

Prolly won't be up till Tuesday. Coming home Monday night.
I was in the parking lot with your fans. The NIU guys (I'm and old vandal fan) were very friendly and gracious. First class. Our (vandal) kids were very respectful and I thought they had a good time. My wife and I are thinking of coming out in 09 to DeKalb. Wild game but you guys did what you had to do to win....congrats and have a good season. BTW, our freshman running back is OK only a twisted ankle- whew!.

Nice meeting you Joe. I met so many vandal fans that probably don't remember you, but I was the painted guy. You guys were nothing but class. Great game and glad to hear about your running back! He is a stud!
Cordiality & good sportsmanship recognized but put aside when there is more familiarity between opponents which oftentimes breeds contempt, ill will and trash talking will follow.

I would not suspect such tossing of welcome bouquets had the visitors been from Boise StU.

You would be correct on that one. Everyone has knuckleheads and we have our share..............BSU has more.
Sadly with success oftentimes comes arrogance and some trashy fans.

Seems like a universal epidemic among fan bases enjoying a special ride.

Like with Marshall in the MAC years ago, things often balance out over time when the ride comes to a screeching halt.

Those few superpowers which reload every season like Ohio State or Texas tend to have more than their share of rude/annoying fans mixed in with the mostly classy ones.
