The Big East needs all of its schools to be successful!!
All of them except Notre Dame. 03-wink
Syracuse is one good coaching hire away from being a Top 25 program again.
Yep, we need Cuse to be successful.
Notre Shame is not in the BEast.
Yep, Cuse is a good coaching change away from righting the ship.
Someone, though, has always got to struggle. Not everyone can be at the top.

Did the Cuse' mascot use to be an Indian?

You Betcha.

Syr. used to be called the Orangemen and used a Saltine warrior for its mascott. Then in 1978 native american students protested and the name was changed to just the "Orange" and Otto became the mascott. Otto, the orange that spreads fear into the hearts of all who come to the dome- sort of. I think the cardinal of Louisville is just as odd. Or the turtle of Maryland. UofL has an angry cardinal. "Honey that mean cardinal is back."

Why can't we be the bobcats, or the tigers or even the tsunami. The orange? I can see if we were in Florida but the oranges from central New York are coming to get you.

Notice How Syracuse is marketing itself as New York's college team. complete with the statue of liberty. I think that's the right move but are they smart enough to fire Robinson.
Yes, Cardinals aren't too intimidating. I have often thought that. Now, Cardinals with teeth, that's a different story!03-lmfao We got our name from the state bird. I'm going to make a safe assumption and guess that oranges aren't the state fruit of New York. If we were named after a fruit we would be the Louisville Pau Pau's. By the way, didn't you know that the Kentucky subspecies of cardinal actually does have tiny razor sharp teeth lined on the inside of its beak?
