pretty good stuff....not sure about Providence being that high though

Jackson
Mick's got some good players rolling into UC...we should at least be NIT...it's been a looong road back.

But ya know what..who cares; I can't believe I am so excited about football I don't care if bball EVER gets here; for a Bearcats fan, that statement alone is amazing!

I wish I could share your sentiments...but for me, Basketball season can't get here fast enough!

I cant agree more.
UCONN fans are still upset about last year. We expect to be back to the top of the BE where we belong. Our PG play was bad last year and we really need to improve that. Kemba Walker the #2 PG in the nation won't get here until 2008. However, we are looking pretty good with all those returning players so we better shape up soon.

Football season is still here. We just need to get to a bowl game. Time to beat Pitt this weekend.
I think Rutgers could sneak into the NIT group this year. Our recruiting is starting to pickup big time under FHJ. We might not be challenging for the Big East for a little while but we could surprise and make it to the tourney in as little as 2 seasons.
I for one can't wait for basketball this year. I think UC is going to be very very good this year. We have one of the top frontcourts in the BE and our point guard Deonta Vaughn will be one of the best players in the country. We also have newcomer Alvin Mitchell coming in. He reminds me a lot of Brandon Rush, an absolutely sick athlete that can shoot the living sh*t out of the ball. Add that to transfer Mike Williams and returning PG Jamual Warren I think we were are going to be one of the better clubs in the conference this year.
I'll think about basketball after the practices begin... until then I'm concentrated on football. Go 'cats.
