Awwwwww!

Who cares? Was it even an upset?

Actually 24 - 0. But it couldn't happen to a more deserving institution (I cannot bring myself to use university or school).

Awwwwwwww! I am really disappointed that the former MAC school who thinks they are too good for the MAC is losing to a 1AA University

The Dundering Turds penetrated to inside the 10 before halftime and got zip.

31-7 New Hampshire

Wow! We had a close call against NH under DeBord, but we didn't get slapped around on both sides of the ball like this. :domokun:

Stick a fork in Marshall; 13 points down with 61 seconds left.

Marshall is 0-3 and 9-18 since departing the MAC in my math is correct. Zero bowls and its not looking good with ECU, Southern Miss and now Central Florida looking like stronger programs. Marshall made a huge mistake in leaving the MAC. CUSA has bigger bugets than the MAC and that means Marshall has a higher bar to reach in order to compete. Marshall might be a contender in the MAC but not in CUSA East. They won't be going bowling very often in CUSA.

So, when they come crawling back to the MAC, BGSU back to the West, Marshall can fight to escape the basement, and the divisions will be even again.

On the subject of former members of the MAC, let's not forget Central Florida.
They nearly beat Texas in the first game played in their brand-new, 45,000-seat football stadium. The place was packed. It looked like a truly wonderful atmosphere, and it wasn't hard to imagine yesterday, watching on the Deuce, that Central Florida might one day be a part of the Big East.
I don't say that to tout Conference USA. Marshall is welcome to have it. I don't think any other school in our league would want to be there.
But I'm happy for the Knights. It looks like their program continues to move forward.

I was shocked to learned a few months ago that BE is looking to expand FB (to 9 schools for obvious scheduling considerations) but tabled it because they couldn't find a school which met their needs.
As SF indicates, UCF is a very good match and would be great with So. FL.
I don't understand...
Who knows, maybe they have some wild eyed dream of ND??????

South Florida would do everything in their power to block Central Florida's entrance to the BE. Both schools seem to have a huge upside.
I, too was a bit shocked to see how tough UCF played Texas in the inaugural game in their new digs.
Certainly not the UCF the MAC knew and loved......

Thanks. Sadly, we really should have won if our QB didn't fumble TWICE and throw an INT for a touchdown. Regardless, it was an awesome day and the new stadium rocks. I've heard that the next game should have between 35-40K there so it should be rocking again.
Who thought when we both left the MAC that UCF would be where we are now and Marshall would have fallen so far?

I believe Marshall was headed 'south' (as in downward) when they left (just like Marshall was 'cresting' when they joined the MAC).
I remember Big Ben sticking it to them really good on that ESPN game in November.
They would not have remained at the top of the MAC, had they stayed although I can't believe their Sagarin is between EMU and Temple's (and if Temple had won vs. UConn, Mu would have had a Sagarin lower then any MAC team ).
Bobby P. retired as coach and one could see the ship was taking on water.

Crawling back? Let them crawl! I don't think we should let them back. It isn't worth it.
