The Morris Twins are back in the headlines. After re-affirming commitments to Memphis in late July, the pair has opted to open it up for good.

Looks like these guys might not make it here for sure now.I hope Dorsey,Robinson and Taggart didn't screw all us up with our recruits for 08.05-mafia
I think it's all over for getting these 2. Huge blow to the 08 class since Cal recruited around them for a year based on the commitments. So now we are out in the cold since few, if any, undecided quality big men are left out there to go after. Best case senerio, we have coming back next year: Dozier, Taggart, Niles, Bailey. That's pretty thin unless Niles and Bailey make HUGE strides. Robinson is projected as a SF, but maybe he turns out to be Charles Barkley. I can hope. lol You don't see Cal go the Juco route often, but maybe he will have to in order to address those needs on the front line.

Our best case class at this point would be Garcia, Witherspoon and Evans. Garcia is a possible non-qualifier, Witherspoon is most likely a late signee and Evans recruitment was damaged somewhat by the Beale St incident. E. Williams will not be a Tiger according to Keith, so I dunno who else is out there that we are after. Plus until the season is over we won't know for sure who will be back from the current roster.

I'll be interested to see what Easterwood says on this latest turn of events.
“We will not be attending Memphis,” Marcus Morris said. “Coach Calipari and Coach Kellogg are great coaches. I wasn’t 100% about (the commitment) and I wouldn’t want to be as dedicated to them as they are to me. I need to be 100% before I choose a school.”

sh*t
I think it's time for Cal to make another trip over there to give them "some love" again. That is all that's needed to get them back in line.. and maybe another dose of "love" just before the Nov signing period just to make sure it actually does happen. lol
Hey, I am not surprised at them. They all have visions of the NBA and they possibly see Angel (PF) and if we get Witherspoon (SF) as a bit more than what they want to compete against. Some, prefer the path of least resistance.

IMO, these guys should be ranked higher based on last year ranking and with people saying this is not one the better classes. I don't claim to be anything more than just a fan but if your ranking doesn't improve considerably from last year to the next that says a lot. I'll just trust in "Refuse to lose" Cal.
"I need to be 100% before I choose a school.”
Wish he would have used this logic before committing the first and second time, now we are gonna have to play some catch up on the recruiting trail! Come on down Evans and Witherspoon!
This has been talked about for some time. It wasn't out of the blue.

Thanks for the heads-up Big E. LOL J/k

Most of us had figured this out as I am sure the coaches had. Hence, as a coach you cannot stop recruiting. Reason 101 why I could not be a coach. Best of luck to the staff.
Unfortunately the recent and past stories about Tiger players and the law are catching up with us. Locally and nationally. I'm afraid there could be a new round of stories originating from a club on Poplar, it's called "Senses".
looks like playing time for Chance McGrady...
If we can get Witherspoon and Garcia we're still ok. We just need 2 players out of this class to be ok. Jason Jones hasn't committed yet either, unless I missed it. I wouldn't mind having him on board as well.
Jason is most likely headed to UTEP.
will be a thin front line next season...hope someone introduces Pierre to SlimFast...

where is Terrico White leaning?
Don't be surprised if White and Sampson Carter both go to a prep school.

If we pushed hard, could we change his mind?
think Cal is putting all the eggs into the Witherspoon basket?

maybe there will be a late riser somewhere...

anywho, lost a shoe last night - have to go find it.
this stuff happens every seems like every year. Don't know what we are doing wrong but if we are recruiting right then they wouldn't be backing up at the last minute.
Something fishy is going on.
Not surprising that these guys couldn't take the competition with Gracia. Some people run toward competition; others runaway.
