MAC Report Online has posted its MAC Week 2 Preview with news, previews and predictions for each game Saturday. We also have a new poll on the home page.

Can Kent State pull another upset? We're thinking yes...and, Western Michigan could be in trouble against Indiana Saturday with three key defensive starters questionable for their home opener.

Why do all the reviews on the upcoming Ohio-ULL matchup refer to the hot weather as a factor?

Game time does not start until 6pm. It will have cooled off into the low 80's by then.

EMU played down there last September. Even if the temps are in the 80s it will be humid and miserable...and a factor.
Good work as always Dave. I think you may have over corrected this week a bit and stayed to far on the side of the status quo, but good analysis all the way around.

As far as I know WMU only has two defensive starters that are questionable. Pritchard has suffered a season ending knee injury so he is out for sure.

That's a bummer about Pritchard. When I did the write-up Western was waiting on the MRI results.

I really wanted to pick WMU but am nervous about the Broncos defensive health.

But I don't know if we stuck too much with the status quo, looks like we riled up some Kentucky fans:

Solich on his weekly TV show didn't think it would be a factor.

Ohio is not located near the Great Lakes. It is located in Southern Ohio which usually has warm summers. I can remember it being in the 90's and humid through September in Athens.

It would be much more of a factor for a school to play in Ypsi late November.
I can bash the Big TEleveN with the best of them....but I must say that I enjoy being able to watch some of the Big TEleveN vs MAC match ups on the new Big TEleveN Network. Belated congrats to the Falcons, that was a good one to watch. And watching the App. St game was priceless... Good luck to BG and others who are lining up against a Big TEleveN team tomorrow.
Its gonna be wet in Louisiana. The muggy air and the wet conditions could be a factor. Solich won't let his team use that as a reason not to play well. He is a stand up guy and he expects his team to overcome the same playing conditions as the other team will encounter. That being said. Louisiana is a very good team and they are at home. This game isn't gonna be easy as La Lafayette played well very vs SEC member South Carolina on both offense and defense. Canjuns have a very talented QB. Named sound like a frozen pizza, but like the food he is very good. Ohio program is improving and winning tough road game would reinforce the performance of last year. Bobcats did not play well in MAC title game GMAC bowl, but winning at La Lafayette would give us back to back 2-0 starts and be on track for a possible winning season and bowl.
You obviously know little about the South KC. I'm from HHI, SC.. and believe me, weather WILL play a factor.

(that's the Low Country and the Coastal Empire for those of you who vacation here.... whom annoy me. LOL)

Um, I live in the south myself. And I will tell you the heat and humidity in Athens can be just as bad. It was particulary bad this year with a heat index of 100 degrees during camp.

Yes it will be a factor, poor little ULL will cramp up in the second half just like Gardner Webb cramping up last week.
Akron 2 OSU 0. :)
I think wet grass might be more of a factor, and we can throw the ball better then they can. That may work in our favor.
Good luck to all the MAC teams today! Let's get some more non-conference victories.
I don't have B10 network, and ESPN game tracker isn't very accurate. I'm listening to the radio broadcasts.

Minny 7
Miami 3

Go MAC, lets go 3-2 this week in OOC!

I didn't want to annoy you RedHawk, so I moved down here permananently to avoid "tourist" status. Can't think of anywhere else I would rather be! 02-13-banana
