How often have we read posts in the past proclaiming why NIU should stomp the lites outta every 1-aa team year after year like they are ALL cupcakes?

Remember how embarrasssing it was to lose to the likes of WIU or other lookalikes?

It's officially deceed by cybes it's finally time to RIP all those same arrogant & foolish pronouncements we dislike hearing from some of our bretheren in programs more storied than NIU.

The best of 1-aa is for real.

Appalachian State has taught us all an important lesson and reminder. It's simply & only what you do on the field that is the difference between winning and losing games. TALK is REAL CHEAP.

Sept 8 is put up or shut up Saturday in DeKalb.
yes, and this is why we BETTER be up for this SIU game on saturday...i will be straight up depressed if we lose to them. I am not saying SIU is pathetic or anything, but we ARE the better football team

My final interpretation was that Lloyd Carr sucks, I guess you went a little deeper than me :)
I'm uncertain but we are LIKELY the better team even this year , overall, because of depth which makes for better practices.

Not so sure same can be said about starting 22 on each roster.

No disrespect to DN but SIU may have the better QB.
"ON PAPER":

Carr or anyone else could coach Mich and be the worst coach in D1 football and UM should still beat ASU....

"ON THE FIELD":

Welcome to the NEW AGE in college football and NIU and others are now surfing the shores of what was once a pretty exclusive oceanside country club.
As I've said before, I really believe the top 25 I-AA teams can beat the bottom third of the I-A teams.

As far as Appy State goes, I think they are so good that they could probably could at least compete with 3/4's of the I-A teams out there.
i know its early, but if Appy State doesn't play USC in the nat'l championship, i call protest 03-shhhh
