Wonder if the Wolverine fall apart from here and slide to the slot where the MCB bowl. That would huge if MAC champ gets them. Big Ten might end up sending a team to Detroit this year.
Anything is possible after a loss like that but I think bowl tie-ins will make it pretty much impossible. If UM is bowleligible, they would have to finish #7 in the B10 to go.
Michigan isn't used to losing games like this. The mental psyche of them and their opponnets have changed. Teams will smell blood against that Michigan defense. Michigan has lost 3 in row dating back to last year.
Perhaps they won't even be bowl-eligible.

Minnesota needs to win games against the "cupcakes" like BGSU just to get bowl eligible. So Big Ten may have a hard time filling slots this season.

I mean, who thinks Michigan will defeat Oregon? Maybe they won't wind up bowl eligible either.

Lot of season left.

They will beat Oregon. The Pac-10 is one horse conference (a trojan horse) with the rest, for years, being over rated. The U of M will be out for redemption and what they do to the Ducks will not be pretty.

That said, I would find great joy in my heart if next Saturday proves to be another sorrowful one in Ann Arbor. In fact 8 home games = 8 home losses would make my year!
Michigan will probably be bowl eligible. I seriously believe ASU is a tougher opponent than over half of Michigan's conference schedule.
Motown, I would definitely buy that. Michigan will most likely be bowl eligible with 7-9 wins. Whatever the case, if they lose to OSU again then Lloyd Carr will be packing his bags.
Pac Ten is a very good conference and top to bottom the best IMO. Washington hammered Syracuse Friday and they are what an 8th place team. PAC Ten doesn't play D-AA teams and has a 9 game conference schedule. They play the highest % of BCS schools than any conference. Consider the quality of non-bcs team out west Boise State, BYU, Utah, Hawaii, Nevada, and Fresno State that PAC Ten plays non-conference plus games with Notre Dame, Big Ten and SEC non-conference and the PAC Ten plays by far the most difficult schedules as a conference. They don't travel across the country to play the Sun Belt, CUSA, and the MAC. They are playing the BCS heavyweights. Cal playing Tennessee, USC playing Arkansas. Washington playing Ohio State, Oregon playing Michigan, Washington State playing Wisconsin. PAC Ten doesn't get the respect they deserve due to the east coast media bias toward the Big East, Big Ten and ACC, SEC.

They had 9 teams in the Sagarin top 35 at one point last year. Hard to call PAC ten soft when Boise State is your easy game. .........this isn't Murray State,Elon, Buffalo, and SE Missouri that the Big East is playing.
