Ever since ESPN signed the Big East to that deal they have covered the league fairly. It kind of makes you wonder if the rumors of ESPN trashing the Big East in order to lower their value come contract time was true. But the Big East blossomed and ESPN's planned failed.
I think every conference goes through their up and down period. The ACC is a well balanced conference. No dominating teams but no real dawgs either. They beat each other up real good.
The PAC 10 is the real deal and the I think the national media is taking notice of it. And the SEC could have one of its best years ever. Even UK and Vandy are not a guaranteed win this year. That honor now falls to Miss St.
And I'm looking forward to that Auburn/USF game. I don't think Aubie fans have a clue to just how good this Bulls team is going to be this year.
This should be a very entertaining college football season.
True. The ACC plays pretty good defense but their offenses are poor overall. I think I'll root for Wake Forest to win again.

Maybe not in the last ten years but they looked as such in recent Gator Bowl and Sugar Bowl appearances not to mention one of two Fiesta Bowls as well.
The problem with the ACC is that there is very limited upside with most of its programs. You have the big powers, and then a bunch of schools that will always be run-of-the-mill. They keep trying to bring in other schools in hopes it will bolster the rest of the programs, but the new schools just feast on the subpar competition in the league and you still have a bunch of also-rans that will never run w/ the big dogs on a year-in, year-out basis.
