Some speculation that the guy owes a huge tax bill as a result of catching the ball. IRS may call it income as several tax attornies are claiming. Seems pretty stupid to me if he doesn't sell it. Some are saying even if he gives it to Bonds he'll owe the $. It seems to me Bonds would have to be taxed for getting his own ball in that case. At any rate they're saying value is in the neighborhood of $.5 mill. A nice contribution to indoor practice facility for the Bulls, yes?
