In the BearcatLair section. 6 games for 60 dollars and the seats are in the endzone. I know there is not a better deal in college football and you will be hard pressed to find a better deal in all of sports. If you are planning to go to just two games and your just going to buy the tickets a couple days in adavance or whatever you would actually be saving money by just going and getting season tickets in the BearcatLair. I feel there is only one reason UC is not getting the top recruits right now, because we haven't packed that stadium ever. If we can average about 30K a game I promise you UC will start getting the top local and some top out of town recruits. This is a program waiting to explode.
I paid roughly the same amount for 1 game in the Big House. Second row right by the tunnel...absolutely amazing. Eventually I'll get to South Bend. 02-13-banana

Additionally, I think there are a variety of other reasons Cincinnati doesnt get top recruits. Hell, they still routinely lose their targets to MAC programs. IMO, UC will never be able to out recruit the "big" powerhouse programs in the region. If Notre Dame continues to make progress, it's going to make more difficult in the state/region as well.[/i]

I don't know about that. If local Kids see UC is a good program that sells out every game I think some would stay home and play for the Bearcats. What I think can happen is if UC starts tin win 7-10 games annually the 12-13 year old kids who have yet to pick what team they will follow and be a fan of will start picking UC opposed to TO$U and Notre Dame. We are never going to get every local Kid but I think if UC starts packing Nippert every week and UC wins games I think UC will be able to reel in a few really good loacal kids every year that in years past would have went to TO$U, Michigan, Notre Dame, Louisville, etc...

Hey CoopD take a look at this:

Quote:
10. Derek Wolfe (Beaver Local) - Cincinnati is Big East football but this is a Big 10 caliber kid. Maybe even a Big 4 kid. Coach – This might be a kid who may have committed too early, because the big dogs might still be coming in on him.

Not sure who the Big 4 are but it sounds like this kid should be a 4* or better.
"Not sure who the Big 4 are but it sounds like this kid should be s 4* or better"

If he decommits and goes to TO$U or another big school he'll be 4* guy, but if he stays at UC he'll stay a 2*. Stars don't mean anything though, can these 2* recruits play good football? from what I'v read and seen on video, yes.

Agreed. If UC recruits enough of the top flight players, outrecruits ALL of the MAC and takes away a top flight player or two from the Ohio States and Michigans and Notre Dames and West Virginia and Pittsburgh then UC football could be a Top 25 program.
I have to assume "Big 4" means OSU, Mich, Wisc, and PSU (or something like that.)

So it looks like this is a kid that OSU might be interested in, but because we were smarter and got him early, we won't get credit for "taking this recruit away from a top program." I think we have a few of those kinds of kids in the '08 class already.

I would replace Wisconsin with Notre Dame and I think you are right.
I just assumed he was staying in the Big 10, but you may be right.

Fact is, Cincinnati pretty much has to get on local recruits early before OSU/Michigan/Notre Dame become involved. Once the big time programs get involved it's pretty much over for the Cincinnati's of the world. Once again, UC needs to start beating out MAC schools before they out recruit the big time programs for anything.

IMO, Cincinnati's goal right now should be to keep the solid prospects at home. By that I mean that they focus on keeping prospects away from the second/third tier Big Ten programs (and MAC schools).
coop, my point was that we're doing that now, but not getting credit for it because they're committing before those you mention get involved.
