At present, only two former MAC players are in the College Football Hall Of Fame - Mel Long (Toledo) and Bob Babich (Miami).

Of course there are a boatload of former coaches, most of whom went on to bigger schools.

What other MAC alumni should receive consideration for induction into the HOF, and what are their credentials?

Ealey. Best record ever for a starting QB-Eighth in the Heisman, and he's from UT which should get him in even without the other stuff.
George Bork from NIU is in the Hall of Fame.

He played from 1961 - 1963 when NIU was a div 2 team. NIU didn't join the MAC until 1975 and as such he never played in the MAC. I'm guessing that's why he's not on the list of former MAC players in the HOF.

Easily the most qualified, except for that pesky little "All-America First Team Selection by an organization RECOGNIZED BY THE NCAA" thing. The only QB in history who has gone undefeated as an amateur: Undefeated in high school, undefeated in college. Then followed up in the CFL by taking the last place Hamilton TigerCats to the Grey Cup his rookie year after taking over as the started early in the season.
My vote goes to Travis Prentice, RB @ Miami from 1996-1999. His career totals of 78 touchdowns and 468 points were, and I believe still remain, NCAA division 1-a records. In his senior year he led the Redhawks to a 10-1 record including an upset of then #12 ranked North Carolina. The sporting news recognized his incredible season by naming him fist team all-american.

I believe that Nick Kazur was voted fist team All-American after his MCB performance against Boston College.
