What are you talking about? Baseball has the only all-star game that matters with the winner gaining HF advantage in the WS.

Vote Zambrano for the last roster spot on the NL!

Nope.

I do not even think the players want to be selected.
Like being the tallest midget...it's the only all star game worth watching.
Its the only AllStar game that I watch
I'm NOT a genuine fan of baseball.

I watch a few games here and there during the regular season and attend one or two MLB game each season.

The pace itself of the game does not capture my interest.

I sucked at playing the game despite the fact my dad played a few seasons just after the GREAT Depression out West in Idaho and back here in Chicagoland in the most lower level minor leagues possible eons ago.

I do watch some allstar MLB games when there is a special twist to the game or I have little else to do with a summer nite better spent outdoors.

There are so few such evenings each summer when you age , it's a shame to devote it to time indoors when the nite is soooooooo sweet.

Each such summer nite outdoors is a blessing.

We all in a lifetime typically work 8 hours a day, 50 + weeks a year until retirement.

One third or more in some circumstances of your 24 hours and a lifetime is devoted to work.

One third is devoted to sleeping and recovery from birth to senility & ..... from hang overs .

The remaining third of every 24hrs is devoted to chores associated with daily responsibilities outside of work and coping with life itself.

What little remains in a lifetime is to PARTY HARTY.

The number of special days and evenings outdoors in Midwest during any lifetime when conditions are almost ideal is rather limited.

Enjoy each and every moment.

MLB allstar games take a back seat in my life's journey.

Take in some when the game is special to you & for other games less special - I chose to leave most others far behind.

Give me a special reason why casual baseball fans should want to watch this year's MLB allstar game? Hells Bells, it's painful enough during the dead of January to watch NFL Pro Bowl.
I only like to watch it when there are Cubs players in the game..otherwise I have no interest. Same with the NBA All-Star game and Bull's players. As far as the Pro-Bowl goes...I never watch that game.

Don't the Cubs always have to have a player in the game? Doesn't there have to be one player from each team?

Yes and yes.
I am going to watch to see what home games the Cubs will get in the WS. :badger:
i like the allstar game itself but the days off around the game make it the slowest sports days of the year which makes it my slowest days of the year

more importantly one of these years i am just going to but a 4th of july firework up my ass and kill myself if chris berman is still doing the homerun derby in 5 years
