Just curious Dave.....
Why did you leave CMU's Steven Friend and Ike Brown off your list of preseason All-MAC? Both are going to have big seasons and have been previous All-Mac selections. Ike Brown is going to have a huge season! Friend could be a 1st day draft choice.
Sometimes it is a numbers game. But we thought Droscha for instance is on the verge of a monster season and the coaches expressed some concern over Friend's weight coming out of Spring. As for Brown, he could be All-MAC by the season's end but again there is a lot of talent at the LB position in the MAC. I understand he is fully recovered from last season's injury.
Thanks for your reasoning. I know CMU's personnel very well and it was nice to see you get ahead of the curve on Droscha as he will get a lot of attention this year. Brown is ready for a monster year if he stays healthy as he is bigger faster & stonger than he was 2 yrs ago and he has an attitude that he has something to prove this year. Friend is a gifted DT who is very athletic for his size who always has the coaches riding him because he has the talent to be a defensive player of the year candidate. Another newcomer to watch is true freshman LB Nick Bellore who enrolled in Jan and had a monster spring.
Dave, good work. I could argue some of your picks, but it is obvious you have done a lot of background work to reach your conclusions. It is nice to read something about the MAC that has the facts right!

You may be hearing from some Worstern Michigan fans about your slight of their All-American DB's. 04-jawdrop
Excellent work, Dave! 04-cheers

Chipfan, not sure how he slighted the Broncies, with two DBs named to the lists?
Kent State 6 selections and Ohio 5 show that times have changed in the MAC East and its no longer Miami and BGSU with the huge talent advantage in the East. Flashes and Bobcats are legit contenders these days.
