Well none of that is really, because those conference records mean nothing. Only divisional games count.

And we should give your "forecast" credence, because....?

FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, DOES EVERYONE HAVE AN F'N PROBLEM ABOUT IT???!!

I'm not asking for credence. I just giving out speculations on what I think is going to happen. I'll go out on a limb sure. Or would you rather everyone just pick the favorites?
This is not quite as bad as some of my fellow Bobcat fans predicting a one loss season, the lone L being to VaTech. I hope that OU can pull off another winning season like last season. We have an easy schedule on paper but a lot can happen between now and autumn.

Well, since you are not a regular here, and people aren't familiar with you, it would help to know if there was some kind of basis to your post. How many coaches, players or staff did you speak with to come to your conclusion? Or is it just the pure speculation of an outsider who gathers his information from the preseason mags.

Looks like pure speculation.
MWC-CHI:

No offense, it's just kind of odd that we really never see you post here and then you post your conference forecast on each conference's message board. These types of things are usually good conversation starters, but it just seems sort of random here.

I'm just starting out here. I was posting on the WAC board as a MWC fan and then some sort of consolidation took place. I happen to be from the Chicago area.

I did say it was speculation and that's how I want it seen. I don't see it as gospel truth. The nature of football will see funny things happen this season. I'm just doing my best to pinpoint what oddities come to fruition. Whether or not it does, so be it. I do factor in the schedule in my picks. And, I do look at some magazines and CFN. I really think Ohio will be a program that will be elite in the MAC because of Frank Solich, who got a raw deal at Nebraska IMO.

BGSU pointed out that I did come out of left field and I explained how this came all about.

Sorry if I came down on you hard. I just had a hard time on the CUSA board with a few picking ights with me.

I'm not here to cause trouble. I'm here to share opinions of other teams in all 11 conferences and the indies. I'm ready for the season to start.

Hey, it's cool. Keep posting and stick around and get to know everyone here.

I can get a little defensive about the MAC especially since those who don't follow the MAC have a lot of incorrect, preconceived notions about the MAC.

Maybe about as many as the people who do follow the MAC.

What is wrong with his predictions? Ohio and Western Michigan are coming off bowl trips and return several all-MAC players on both sides of the ball. Only 3 MAC teams won 8 games last year. Both WMU and Ohio have key division games at home which could be the difference in a tight division. The experience of playing in the MAC title game last year plus a bowl will help Ohio and CMU. The extra practice time for bowls will help Ohio, WMU, CMU, and NIU have more depth for this year. Having a January bowl is like having two sets of spring practice. The key for Ohio is that this will be year three under Solich and most of the players should have a strong understanding of the schemes, playbook, formations. It takes time for a new coach to implement his system and get the players on the same page working together. The offense should run the ball well as Ohio returns some good linemen and FB Morsillo who blocks for MCCrae.
I'm sorry, but there is no way we're going winless this year. We're going to be better than we were last year and somehow came out of last year with 2 wins.

I'm sorry, I don't see a win on your schedule. Your OOC schedule with at Rutgers, at Penn State, Baylor and at Syracuse is where you could get Baylor, IF ANY. The league schedule is an issue as well. At home, you have Ohio, Toledo, Akron and BG. Ohio is the class of the MAC IMO. Toledo, Akron and BG I cannot see lose to UB. The road schedule, I'll say this, if UB would've gotten Ball State and Temple at home, then we could see wins from that. The other 2 Miami and Kent. Either way, forget it.

It's nothing personal.
