How much do football tickets go for? I'm coming for the game on Sept. 15 and may have to pay for possibly two other people. Also, where is the best place to park and tailgate? Thank you for answering my questions. :ncaabbs:

GA tickets are $20/ticket. The best places to park and tailgate are areas where you have to be an HASF member to receive. You will end up having to park in the Conovation Center parking lot (or Grant dorm parking lots). But you can always walk on over and tailgate with the Huskies fans from this board if you like.

Btw, if you order tickets for the game through EMU you will get stuck on the West side corner section of the stadium. If you purchase through NIU you will be able to get better tickets but will have to sit with Huskie fans. I suppose it depends on what you like.

Glad to hear you are coming. You will have a great time and experience at NIU.

P.S. -- I just made this Visitor Information Guide thread since you brought up some questions that other visiting fans might want to know.

It's only going to be about a 2hr. drive for me since I live in Chicago. It all depends if I can get to Dekalb before noon that day b/c I may go to the Sox game the night before.

It's 62 miles from the Loop to DeKalb. Seeing it's Saturday morning, you ought to make it in less than two hours.
watch for state troppers especially beginning shortly after passing west of Aurora Toll Plazas.....

None of the tailgaing lots are more than two or three blocks from stadium including Convo Center where many visitors park...not too scenic there nor much atmosphere either unfortunately .....restricted parking stalls surrounding stadium behind both the East stands and aways just west of West stands is where to find the fun.....

a miniature steam engine pulling open box cars & offering free rides shuttles back and forth from convo lot to stadium..."kids" young and old enjoy the service.....

there will likely be post game fireworks show and pregame but remote possibility of skydivers landing inside the stadium after jumping from planes circling overhead
ANyone adding the seatbacks for 25$ to their season tickets. I got mail about that a week ago, pretty cool idea! I think they got the idea from Iowa last season.
I bought the VCB seat cushions a couple of years ago and I love those things. The further back you lean into them, the more support they give. I'm not exactly what you would call wiry, so as long as your ass can fit into a normal stadium seat, you might consider those, as they are entering their fourth season and show absolutely no wear yet.

Just don't go to the sox game, they are beyond disappointing. I am a huge sox fan and I can't stand to watch them right now.
