I wonder if VanDelay (Nick) wrote most of it? There doesn't seem to be a standout team this year like the Miami-O team of 2003 or some of the past Toledo teams. NIU doesn't have a stud RB this year. No team is brining back both offensive and defensive lines in tact. Kent State, Western Michigan and Central Michigan look like they will be the better teams to me. Ohio, and NIU look to be mediocre to me. Miami and Toledo are question marks. Toledo has to get their QB situation resolved. Miami has the potential to be really good--much better than their ranking but questions remain about whether their head coach is really a head coach. Three of Miami's D-lineman did not come back for their 5th year. Does that say something about the coaching? BGSU looks to have potential. They are returning 8 on defense and their QB is a junior. The O-line is replacing a lot of people though.

Anyway, I just don't see that one standout team. This year should be another toss up year like last year. I don't look for a lot of upsets over BCS schools, but I'm sure in typical MAC fashion there will be a few. Kansas looks really weak this year. Toledo & WMU should be able to beat them. I think NIU will lose to all 3 of the BCS schools they play. But hey, that's why we like the MAC. We like to root for the underdog.
I love a good upset.

First Team O

QB Nate Davis BSU
RB Kalvin McRae OU
RB Jalen Parmele Toledo
WR Bryan Anderson CMU
WR Herb Martin WMU
TE Darius HIll BSU

NIU only plays two BCS schools (Iowa & Wisky).
Don't forget division winners will be based on division play with the other MAC games used as tie breakers. In the MAC West-Toledo and Central seem to have the most favorable schedules.Western at Toledo and Central at Western seem to the two key games in the MAC West.
WMU doesn't play Kansas (Iowa, Indiana, Missouri, W. Virginia, Central Connecticut St. OOC).

Probably a typo. CMU will be beating Kansas.

Don't under estimate CCSU, they are the best team in their town.03-melodramatic

Come on, we all diserve a cupcake once in a while.
Ohio has a lot going for them. You start with MCCrae and you got the top rusher in the MAC. Ohio has a very strong D-line Cohen and Hartke plus a couple other solid players gives Ohio weapons to stuff the run and get into the backfield and distrupt most MAC offenses. Ohio did land Braunstien at K from Washington. A rare 5th year senior transfer. This kicker was good enough in the PAc Ten. Having a proven kicker does help a lot in the MAC. Bobcats have Chris Garrett back and he was a dangerous punt returner in the MAC. The X factor is Solich. He proved he doesn't need the #1 recruiting class to win in the MAC east. Last the schedule isn't that bad for Ohio. Temple, Miami and Kent State at home with BGSU, Akron, and Buffalo way.

6 home games for Ohio is rare and factor in away cupcakes La-Lafayette and Buffalo. Even if Bobcats fall at Va Tech, Toledo, BGSU and Akron this looks like 8-4 is very possible. I'll take it and a bowl trip.

I live in CT and they are the team I adopted out here(screw UConn). But I obviously hope you win because it would be bad for the conference if you lose to them. CCSU lost their leading rusher from last year(got picked up by NE Pats) who looked pretty good so it should make it a little easier than it already should be.

BTW, as far as I know they are the only college in New Britain. New Britain does have the minor league baseball Rock Cats(Min) though.

You're correct. I should have said CMU plays Kansas.

I still can't get over how easy your schedule is, especially OOC. NIU is playing four OOC teams that made it to the postseason last year. With Ohio's schedule, NIU would go a minimum 10-2.
