Thanks, Nick. I agree. I was in attendance for every one of those games and at no time did I think there was something funny going on. My opinion hasn't changed either.

Quite honestly, the Vegas betting machine can believe whatever it wants. It doesn't break my heart to hear that no betting is allowed on Toledo games. In fact, I'd rather it stay that way.

Vegas has got the MAC lines in a knowledgable bettor's favor all the time. Always atleast one game that is glaringly obvious sure fire bet. If there ever was such a thing as a sure bet. And there is not.
If I were a bettor - I would have bet against Toledo covering the spread against Temple - and won. Now the question is - did Toledo shut it down against Temple and glide to the victory vs. continuing to pour it on? If they did, was it Scooter and his alleged cohorts that made that happen, or was it common sense to take the win and not show too much of the playbook for future opponents? The only way this ever gets to court - in my mind - is if there is absolute proof that Scooter took money and attempted to fix the games. Whether he had that influence is not the issue - however, if he was not even playing, then they would have to prove others were involved - and I have a feeling that is where the case falls apart. I still think Scooter was playing this guy for some cash and giving him the assurance others were involved. Trying to fix a football game for shaved points is damn near impossible. Only an idiot would try it - enter Gary Manni...
