Truthfully his stock can only go down even if he produces the same this year as he did last year. Just look at Lonny Baxter, if he came out after last season he would have been a first round pick for sure and he may have gotten into the lottery this season, he produced the same numbers but his stock went down considerably, instead of seeing all the great things he does the scouts focused on his flaws. The exact same thing will happen to Dunlady if he comes back. Now Im not saying that Lonny should have left because Im glad he didnt we wouldnt be National Champs if it wasnt for him. If Dunlady stays in school I think it would be a safe bet that people would not be talking about him being a top 4 pick next year, he will probably still be in the lottery but he will not be top 4. Now Nate, before you blast me this is just my opinion of how things will work out, of course Im biased because I want him to leave but this is the way I see it.
I have a feeling that Dunleavy will listen to his dad, but his stock will only drop by returning.
I'm not gonna blast you for that, Terpy, but I think that's interesting. I think only LeBron will go higher than Dunleavy next year. Sure it depends on the team, but there aren't many teams who don't need Mike.
Dunleavy's stock will not improve if he stays. James will go 1 next year and some giant will go second. If he stays, it won't be to improve for the NBA. It will simply be to be a Senior in college and leading your team to a championship.
I hope he doesn't stay because the endless rambling about being the "Best Player In America!!" will continue from Vitale next year. In 99 it was Brand who was the "Best Player In America!!" In 2001 it was Battier. Last year it was Williams. I'm just tired of hearing Vitale blow-up the Duke players. Let someone else get the praise for once.
