Naked man glued to exercise bike during theft

I thought this question might bring a spirited discussion....

I'm not really sure this article has anything to do with black/white relations, but it made me think about how dangerous South Africa is today. I have never been there so I have no way to compare post-apartheid to apartheid South Africa/
It's not but it has more to do with the decisions that the blacks made when apartheid was ended and they started to control the government. They are still trying to recover from that.

my brother went there couple years ago on a mission trip, said everyone thought he was a movie star and kept asking if he knew 50 cent. the 3rd world know america by what Hollywood puts out, scary huh? He said it was a hell hole for most part, alot of other Africans immigrated their thinking they had jobs for them but they did not so their is alot of poverty and poor areas.
i think my brothers going to study in senegal for a year.
The crazy thing is that in the late 80's, the U.S. government put sanctions on South Africa. But, it was a mistake to compare the race turmoil in the 1960s in America to what was happening in S. Africa. I would listen to missionaries from South Africa (Rodney Howard Brown being the most well known) and he said the U.S. government was mistaken because they didn't understand that the fighting there was among the black tribes. It wasn't so much of a black vs. white thing. But, I'm not stupid enough to say there wasn't a huge economic disparity between the blacks and the whites. I remember president Botha of S. Africa saying, "I wish they would just leave us alone" referring to the U.S. government.

I was radio officer on a U.S. merchant tanker ship that left Houston in March of 1987 bound for the Matadi, Zaire with about 25,000 metric tons of grain. About 4 days out of Houston the newly installed satellite communication system went down. We sent most of our traffic via Morse through WLO in Mobile, AL, but the closer we got to Zaire, we had to start sending it through ZSC in Capetown, South Africa as it was one of the only reliable commerical radio stations for merchant shipping in Africa. Our company in Houston told us we shouldn't really be using them, but we just laughed. What the heck were they going to do about it? We had to use that station to send our radio traffic. We used ham radio for phone patches.

I've never been to Capetown, but they say it is a beautiful city. The U.S. government should of kept their nose out of it if you ask me.

You wouldn't believe how the feds set up Mabuto Sese Seko of Zaire. This guy became a billionaire thanks to the U.S. government, but that's another story.
I have a lot of friends from there, and they say that it is better since then.

You don't have a lot of friends from there, you've never been there, and you couldn't even find it on a map. You couldn't even name one city in South Africa without doing a Google. And, you're talking out your hind end.

I was in a wedding for one of my best friends, who is from Durbin. I was one of three American born people in the groom's party, BTW. The best man (his brother) did part of his speech in Afrikaans. We had a South African spit for the rehearsal dinner. Twas quite nice. I have other friends from Cape Town and J-Burg. I've also got a few friends from Zimbabwe.

But you enjoy being a racist *******, it seems. Want to put your foot in your mouth in another thread?

If you've taken even Junior High Geography, you could name a few from over there.

Probably true, but you're forgetting that this is Endzone we're talking about.
I'll have to admit that watching Super 14 helps me too.

Good point. But again, Endzone is not cultured enough to know what Super 14 is without Googling it.

I won't go that. I'm sure there are millions of Americans that are cultured and don't know what Super 14 is. Have you used your aussietorrents account much?

So now you're also a friend of Mugabee, and you help drive whites off their farms?

Way to go on coming up with 3 cities in South Africa. Google works wonders for that.
now everyone from Zimbabwe is a Mugabee? You would be glad, he's very anti-gay

He's very anti-white too. And especially if you've done well and have a nice farm. This guy is a madman and somebody should shoot his black @ss.

I guess it isn't racism if it's black against white racism is it?

But in all honesty, I know a friend (white guy like me) who has gone to Harare several times. He has a teaching gift and the a prophetic gift. He's even taken his hot (and I mean hot) wife there a couple of times. He said he wasn't afraid, but there were times that were intimidating.
No doubt the guy is a racist. I was reffering to you calling all people from there Mugabies. If the whole country was in love with the guy, he wouldn't have to rig elections.

No, I'm friends with a couple of former team mates of mine. White guys.

But what does Mugabee have to do with anything in this discussion? Oh, I know. It's a strawman, and by pulling that out, you have officially announced that your position is untenable.

There ya go hotshot. You finally played your trump card. When all else fails, call the white guy a racist and everything will be alright.
