Start paying close attention to standings? I saw some people talking about this, and they said they don't look at the standings until around late July or early August. I personally don't believe them. Me personally, I'd go crazy not paying attention to them until then. I have to know where my team stands pretty much all year, although I don't think they mean much as long as you're in striking distance until June or July. For instance, we're two games behind the Mets right now. In July I'd be thinking pennant race, but now I really don't care much about it, because it's so freaking early. I still need to know, though, because I'd hate to check the standings around the All-Star Break and find my team 12 games out.

So, when do you start really following the standings?
well, if you ask the Nationals after the All star game is too soon, but for me i have to say the first day lmfao
i agree with you gdawgs, i constantly check where we are in the West. i probably start around the fifth game, lol.

ah the rockies divison the weakest in baseball.
I started after the first day... :)

I love making sure the Braves are in first. And if for whatever reason they aren't, it's fun watching them come back and jump to the top. ;-)

i could make an argument that the West is better than the East.

I'd be interested to hear it.

i'm not saying we're stronger, but i'd say it's really close. i definitely think the dodgers and giants are as good if not better than the mets and braves. that matchup is pretty even.
i think the d-backs are 3rd best in the west, and i also think they're almost as good as the phillies.
that being said, i think the rockies and padres are pretty even with the nats and marlins.

this matchup comes down to which duo you think is better, giants and dodgers or braves and mets.

of course that's like saying you're the nicest garbage can on the block.
i think they have one now that makes it smell like roses and it craps rainbows. lmfao

lol.

sorry, i don't wanna start another thread, but holy crap, bronson arroyo hit another round tripper today, he would be tied for the team lead if he was on the giants.

meanwhile, the duke LAX team also hit another round (s)tripper. ;-) just a little zinger.
