Installed Mandrake Linux 10.0 Official ... and the new nVidia 6100 drivers for kernel 2.6
The new nVidia drivers WORK for the new kernel! First time EVERY time. Also, the updated wireless packages installed my wireless USB adapter first time no problems. Impressive! With Windoze XP you have to go through a complicated process, and then put up with your connection going to crap every 50 seconds or so.

DEAR GOD. This is at least twice as fast as XP... not to mention a few hundred times more secure, and a few THOUSAND times for stable.

too bad Broadcom won't release drivers for Linux to use on my wireless adapter for my laptop... I have to use Windows drivers with a wrapper, and I can't get htat to work either... dang Broadcom!!

Ialso can't get the ACPI support, so I have no idea where my battery charge is, pretty nice when your in the middle of something, and the computer just shuts off...

I still use Linux every once in a while, but what good is a laptop if you have to have a wired connection in every room...

How are the synaptics and ACPI support?? The synaptics needed a few bugs worked out in the older 2.6 kernels, or so I heard linuxquestions.org.
