This is a two-part question...

During the 2000 season, Chris Weinke became FSU's all-time leader in passing yards. Whose record did he break, and in what game did he break it?
Peter Warrick's <img border="0" alt="[laugh]" title="" src="graemlins/laughing.gif" />
<img border="0" alt="[laugh]" title="" src="graemlins/laughing.gif" /> nope

Will make a somewhat educated wild guess at who's
record he broke...Gary Huff?

Anybody want to take a stab at the game?

I know he became the all time ACC passing leader in a game against Florida.
Broke Thad Busbys single season passing yardge mark against Wake Forest.
ACC career passing yards is at 9,839 yds.
Only second QB in NCAA history to pass for more than 9,500 yds, the other being Danny Wuerffel
The player who he broke the record against is like Paul said, Gary Huff-6,378 yds, and the team was Wake Forest. GO SEMINOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YARDS against the dookies...

Huff wasn't a complete three year starter...
He came in against Florida as a Soph, about the
fourth game of the season and remained the starter

Weinke started for three years...Subtracting one
from another...then allowing for the fact that
FSU could run when Weinke was there...they couldn't with Huff...I'll say midway thru his
final season...Georgia Tech???????????

I could be wrong, but I thought that Louisville's Chris Redman and Louisiana Tech's Tim Rattay both passed for over 11,000 yards.
Actually Weinke's final passing yards stat was 10,113 yards, and when I read my post I actually left something out that was very huge, he was the second QB in NCAA history besides Wuerrfel to pass for more then 9,500 yds and- WIN A NATIONAL TITLE, oh well win some lose some
