I heard about this on Morning Edition this AM. A Student is graduating, wants to become a teacher & his request for a Moral Character Affadavit from the shool will be denied because of an investigation into an alleged date rape. Furthermore, the school informed the Washington State Office of the Superintendent of the investiageion.

The student was unaware of any investigation. The student is told that there is not appeal process. The investigation started because a faculty member overheard a conversation & the girl who was allegedly raped denies that she is asaulted!

Roberta League, a teacher certification specialist in the school of education, overheard Julia Lynch, a student in the school of education, tell another student that John had raped Jane Doe.

And Jane Doe says it does not happen!! School just covering its ass, IMHO. With the charges being dropped, can he force them to give him the Moral Character Affadavit ???
