Even though Florida State was able to pull it out against non top 25 team last night, I think it safe to say that they were exposed thoughly as having fallen off. It could be a VERY long October for the noles this month with a trip to NC State and a game against Notre Dame looming.
Fallen off?? Like the Sooners have never done it. It wasnt until the year 2000 that the Sooners came back, but 15 years before that, where were they?? Same thing with Miami, they went on probation and fell off the college football map, now look at them. I remember after the 2000 season, all I heard was how the Sooners were supposed to dominate the college football scene, that they were back and everyone get used to it, that the Sooners were going for back to back titles, funny but I see Miami doing everything the Sooners were supposed to be doing. Its been 2 years and truthfully speaking, I dont see a better Sooner team now then the one in 2000. Were the Sooners exposed when they lost to Oklahoma State last year?? One question though, did you ever think that the teams in the ACC are getting better, even though the Noles arent the same as the teams they had the past few years?

Once again, the Noles play NC State one of the last weeks in November....

-JD
SunCoastSooner, I see you made your way around the message boards here at the ACC. My previous post would have been alot different had I went to NC States' board first. First of all you are in serious need of spell check. Second thing is I was wondering what JDHeel meant by, "again, the Noles play NC Sate in November", now I know why after visiting NC States' board. Sooner you are clueless as to who we play next week, could it be because Texas has you worried?? You remind me of this other BIG 12 jerk that came here about a month ago spouting off about FSU in the SEC, LMAO!!! You idiots talk so much trash but you dont even know what conference teams play in or whos playing who. Now, do me a favor, take your little covered wagon a$$ back to where ever it is you came from.

I couldn't resist adding my 2 cents here. I watched that entire game last night and I'll tell you that it was a very exciting game in many ways. Overall I think both teams played very well. If Clemson could have hung on to the ball, the may have been in a position to win it. FSU made the plays when they had to. Boldin looked like one of FSU's usually awesome receivers. That boy can ball, and Rix is not the same guy that played against us (Miami) last year. That was one of the best Clemson teams I have ever seen, and in case you weren't awake JD, that was their Bowl Game. The teams in the ACC live to play FSU. They all want a shot at them, and they prepare for that game like no other. And like I posted in another thread, mad props go out to FSU Fan for not cheering when the Clemson Lineman got hurt. They actually clapped when he was carted off. That alone is worth a great deal. You guys play Texas next week? Good luck! You're gonna need it. Oh, and speaking of Sooners, I loved the Orange Bowl game we played against them. It was especially nice when Sebastian ran a little covered wagon to mid-field and set it on fire. It cost us 15 yards, but boy was it worth it! Oh, in case you didn
Hornsounder, good luck to you also, I just hope next week we keep it to a close a score. Miami/FSU is the game to watch unlike that mid-west Texas/OU game being played on the same day. Both games will be interesting, but nothing compares to the rivalry of the Noles and the Canes. You guys should handle UCONN by the first quarter, just dont get caught looking ahead, teams like that are dangerous, nothing to lose, nothing to gain...up next its SHOWTIME!!!!! FSU/MIAMI!!!! Oct.12th!!!!!

JD,
My sincerest apologies. In my haste I addressed that to the wrong person. Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa, Mea Maxima Culpa...hehe.

Uhhh...SunCoastSooner, that was aimed at you..
That's okay... you fruitcake you.

Clemson is a great football team.

It was exposed that there was some excellent talent on that football field last night. Big
Play Guys on both sides of the ball. The
Clemson wide-outs...#1 and #21...They are Players!

How bout Jones' final TD scamper...thru the Clemson team.

The only thing that was exposed was the quality
of play in the ACC. Which is why the ACC is
6-3 vs other BCS conf. teams this year and the
Big 12 is 9-9!

Those 45 yards rushing the Sooners managed against
South Florida was almost as impressive as the
3 first half points you put on the board against
winless Tulsa.

agency that arranges team's schedules...I was
just wondering...OU's OOC schedule is similar
to that of the Wuffies!

If they could each add one more dog...It wouldn't
be called a schedule at all...it would be called
a kennel!
Also you said earlier that Florida State was almost beaten by an unranked team. I promise you that we'll be in the top 25 at the end of the year (when it counts most). That game could be the last that we lose this season because I say we've got NC State and South Carolina beat.
It's time to tighten the chin straps and get it on! I can feel the excitement building...This will probably be another epic battle between the two teams in this State that still know how to play football. Does anybody (besides Paul) think that FSU can put together 4 quarters of hard hitting, all-out balling. Here is an article with a quote from the illustrious, grandmaster of Wide-Rights, http://www.collegesports.com/sports/m-footbl/stories/100602aas.html

This time its at our house, and the State Trophy will remain in Miami where it belongs

Go Canes, Beat FSU (and everyone else)
I hope Florida State drills the Canes! I see the Noles easily competing and probably winning the game for ALL 4 QUATERS!

SCORE
NOLES 45
CANES 35

GO ACC!!!!!!
TigerFreak,
What makes you think that FSU can score that many points agains the UM Defense, and at the same time hold one of the most prolific offenses to 35 points? Are you basing your prediction on facts and stats or just blowing hot air? I think UM has a better defense than the Cardinals.
Hey...hey Horn, is it gonna be raining there? Because you better hope so or else the Noles are gonna throw you a suprise statistically. I just see the streak ending soon, as in this weekend for the Canes.
GO ACC!!!
Hey Tiger,
Even though you neglected to answer my questions, I'll let you know why I think UM will beat FSU. Rix does not do well under pressure, and we know that; so we'll come out and hit him early and hard. That'll make him think and that will cost time which will result in Turnovers. FSU will not be able to run the ball against the Miami Defensive line, which will force Rix to throw to receivers that will be covered the vast majority of the time. Do not underestimate the UM secondary, they're almost as good as last year's and they're getting better. We haven't even gotten to the UM offense. I'll just give you one word on that. Unstoppable. But, you keep hoping. All the hoping in the world won't do you a lick of good. I do hope that you enjoy the game though. Maybe you could use it as a training video on how to beat FSU.
Trust me this one, no matter how good your defense is, Jones is gonna gets his. He ran on us and he'll run on you, I promise. Yeah, we hit Rix hard early too - took him outta the game, but we found that his backup isn't so shabby either.
Tigerfreak...who are you kidding? McGahee will run all over FSU's defense. And Then Dorsey will spread the ball around (4 Hurricane receivers have 3 TD's on the year). Miami isn't a one man show, this is hands down the best college team in the nation! Watch Saturday and you'll see what any other team in the ACC would endure if they faced the Canes!!
Still waiting on Tombster to start telling everyone how the Canes should be playing in the NFL and how they can actually beat teams in the NFL
