113-75 BABAY!!!

Chris Bosh--26 points 14 rebounds in 25 minutes
Marvin Lewis--28 points 5 rebounds in 34 minutes
Ed Nelson--12 points 11 rebounds in 18 minutes
Ish Muhammad--15 points 9 rebounds in 22 minutes
Jarrett Jack--10 points 12 assists 4 steals in 31 minutes
Luke Schenscher--8 points 6 boards in 16 minutes
Robert Brooks--4 points 4 rebounds 3 steals[( ) he's a Center] in 9 minutes
Anthony McHenry--7 points 6 rebounds in 26 minutes

Everyone thought Jack was no good...I guess 12 assists and 4 steals work, not to mention 10 points

Everyone thought Tech didnt have depth...well, as you see, the 3 off the bench work major contributors, not to mention on of our starters sat out this game to rest an ankle

Jackets are back with the attack!!!
:D 04-bow :drink:

Who did you play?
you can say that now, because it WAS just arkansas pine bluff, but once we start kicking butt in the ACC you aren't going to be able to open your mouth. So go ahead, say it was an easy game for us, and it was...that's why it was such a high scoring game and we kept them from having more points than fouls for quite some time...but you still better be prepared because as much as we are advertising, it still seems like it's going to be a sneak attack on the ACC come January.
Arkansas Pine Bluff (2-26 last year). But a win is a win. Judging from what I saw at the game, the boys are ready. A few mistakes that can be worked out, nothing major. The Jackets seem to break down a couple times, I've noticed this during the exhibition games. Those breakdowns could be costly in games that count. I'm sure coach will fix it though.

Bring on the flea bags!!!
arkansas-pine bluff....

I don't care who you are... to have your score nearly QUADRUPLED midway into the 1st is a feat.

It would have been much uglier, but the Golden Lions actually shot very respectable behind the 3 pt. arc to keep it from being in the neighborhood of 113-45

Virginia... 03-razz

Ya know DT...I've been noticing a trend in your posts..."arkansas-pine bluff...", "army..." say something that matters! You obviously have things to say, i heard the radio show...say something intelligent. Have you seen the stats?? have you heard the games?? It doesn't matter who we played, we did well and that's the end of it. It's hard to judge how well you are when you are playing a crappy team, but scoring 113 isn't easy for anyone, no matter who you're playing. The boys did awesome tonight and I can't wait for you to see them play, because then maybe you'll have an intellectual comment, either for OR against us...until then, stop.

i know i know...but if you listen to the show, you would know that I also like to have fun...I mean, come on, Maryland will play some crappy teams in the next couple weeks, so you can do the same thing to me...

and also, I had plenty of complimemtary things to say about your jackets on the most recent show...

BTW...I am glad that you noticed the trend in my posts...That was the point!
Uh, GTS, Duke 17Xed UofMich a couple years back midway through the first half 34-2.

I don't consider 17Xing or 10Xing or 4Xing someone a great feat, unless they are actually good.
Ark Pine Bluff is #327 out of 327 teams in division 1.

DEAD LAST

Nate - you speak so highly of Duke freshmen....

http://www.nbadraft.net

Tell me who the #1 and #19 draft choices are for the freshmen class.
Yep, and Army is... 281.

Where's Davidson.... oh yeah 140, not real competition for number 1.

For the UMD fans, loyola- MD is 308, go hounds!
GTS,

2 things...

1) Everyone knows that site is a piece of crap.

2) And, for argument's sake, if that site was a great indicator of a player's draft status, who cares? IT'S THE NBA. Last time I checked, Duke and Georgia Tech were COLLEGE teams. :stupid: :stupid:
As one of the few people on the planet who knows anything about UAPB basketball, I feel obligated to comment on the gloating after beating the Lions.
Yes, the Lions will be better this year. But my God, how could you not be better? I guarantee that Pine Bluff High would beat UAPB, and PB High didnt make the playoffs last year. I know G Tech had to bring in some exhibition teams who would play better than UAPB.

Nothing against the Golden Lions, I have actually been to a game or two in my quest to see a basketball and football game at every college in Arkansas, but you are wasting time in measuring how good your team will be by beating UAPB.
I don't think many, if any of us are gloating. We know that APB wasn't big competition. And if we are gloating it's not without good reason. Tech put on a great showing in both exhibition games and against APB, regardless of the strength of the opponent. I don't think the team went into any of these games thinking they had a guaranteed win. And Chris Bosh is living up to the hype and Jarrett Jack seems to being doing just fine at the point. And the rest of the team has progressed nicely too. We're just excited to see what the Jackets can do against real competition.
Tech will turn some heads this year, i'm sure. I said it before, and i'll say it again: this is going to be a good year for BBall in the ACC.
