Obviously, there will be no Terp Power Hour today...happy thanksgiving.
BUT WHAT A DAY OF SPORTS!!!
My pre-thanksgiving feast consisted of...
First and foremost...congrats to the North Carolina Tar Heels...an incredible victory which will mean a lot to the program...I will not go as far as Dike Vitale, who seems to think that UNC is now the best thing since sliced bread, but I will only say to the masses, this Carolina team is for real and they will make the NCAA Tournament this year...
loyal Power Hour listeners will know that I picked the Heels into the big dance last thursday :wink:
before I go any further...Maryland will climb into the Top 10 in the land next week thanks to Stanford's upset of Florida and the Terps will stay there until our December 14th match-up with the Gators at the Comcast Center, and maybe longer... (although i am "worried" about that Indiana game on Tuesday)
Next...UVA Keith Jenifer is a little *****..he has officially been tabbed as Enemy #1 on my list...did you see the stunt he pulled against IU's Tom Coverdale tonight in the Maui Final...this only adds to his mystique that he created last year with his attack of the maryland huddle and going toe-to-toe with Gary Williams during the terrapins comeback in Charlottesville
Next...a great win by the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets...they fought back to pull that one out against a strong Georgia squad...the only further comment that I have about that game is...BOSH!!!!!
One last thing...what is the deal with Adrian Mcpherson...whoa man, this thing is about to blow..today, he was arrested in Tallahassee..he contends that he is the scapegoat of the team...HUH??? Was he not the one who forged the check and collected the money from his friend who cashed it? I don't understand how he is the scapoegoat..he did it. How could he possibly think that he is not the "scapegoat"? Or, is there something more to this story, that Mcpherson has "indirectly" let slip...all assumptions, all fiction at this point...nothing more!!! I say again...nothing more!!!!
BTW...didn't Mcpherson play basketball for FSU as well...will he still be on that squad this year? I know for a fact that the gracious student section of the University of Maryland would make AD's first trip to the Comcast Center a memorable one...
speaking of basketball players who would have a warm welcome to the Comcast Center...is Reggie Love gonna be on the basketball team this year, or is he still hurt? Hopefully, he will be back...we have some surprises for him, i'm sure...
FINALLY...the Washington Redskins will make history today against the Dallas Cowboys...more on that later...
