Seventh-ranked North Carolina topped Elon, 7-0, Monday evening at Boshamer Stadium.
The Tar Heels were sparked by sophomore Scott Manshack's complete-game, five-hit shutout and senior Chris Maples' two home runs.
The Tar Heels (33-15) recorded their third shutout of the season. The Phoenix (27-17) was held without a run for just the second time this season. The game was a makeup of a game rained out on Feb. 27.
