First of all, congrats to Duke. The first half was as good a Duke team that I have seen all year. Well done. You guys handed our hats to us. Play like that the rest of the year and you guys can go very deep into the tourney.
I think our guys were spent after the MD game and had nothing to stop Duke. They picked it up in the second half, but the game was not to be. Seeing Sean May back was wonderful.
Jackie Manuel needs to find another place to play.
The NIT will be fun.
As far as Sean May and the transfer rumors go:
I cannot find a link, but in the Times Dispatch this morning:
Staying Put: Sean May, who played yesterday for the first time since breaking the fifth metarsal in his left foot Dec. 27, said he plans to return to NC for his sophomore year. Rumors have been circulating in ACC circles that May might transfer.
"oh yeah, I'm committed to coming back to NC," May said last night after UNC's semifinal loss to Duke. "I heard all the rumors. I don't know why the rumors started."
The 6'8", 272# May had four points, three rebounds and two blocked shots in 10 minutes.
