Good question...I've always seen it both ways, but a certain poster (who shall remain nameless <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> ) informed me that there should always be a space, i.e.
Tar Heel, therefore I have tried to adjust my typing to reflect this particular spelling.
Of course there is no space in

Okay, let me rephrase -- I don't care when

As for the name dispute, all that I know is that when you go to C-TOPS or any other kind of orientation at Carolina, they brainwash you with "Tar Heels" as the correct way to spell it. And, it's some of the best marketing I've seen yet at Carolina, because I've stuck with it strong to this day.
