I'm sick and tired of the Holocaust being used as a scapegoat for the Jewish Community to do whatever they want in the middle east. It's old, tired, and they are doing to the Palestinians just what Hitler's Nazi Germany did to them (in a smaller scale, of course).

I don't think anyone has ever been to Palestine as it doesn't exist. This "Illegal" occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip is because the attacks by the Arabic countries in the 6 Day war, in which Egypt, Jordan, and Syria got their asses handed to them, were staged from there. If you didn't know, the Arabs wanted Israel destroyed as they didn't believe the Jews should have a state in the middle of their precious "Arab land". Spoils of war. That is not imperialist as they didn't start the war. They are lucky Israel didn't go on to Egypt, Jordan, and Jordan. If you will do your research you will find that Jews have inhabited that area for a helluva lot longer than any Muslim as Islam didn't come into the picture until 610 AD.

a) To form a GOOD and OBJECTIVE opinion... if you haven't been to the West Bank, Gaza Strip or anywhere that Arab Palestinians live, you can't make an opinion on this subject. b) Hell f'ing yes the media in this country is pro-Israel. How many times do you hear about Joe Schmoe Palestinian family getting their water taken away so an Israeli can have a swimming pool. How often do you hear about the execution style killings of Muslim ministers? How often do you hear about the Israeli settlements invading and infringing on Palestinian land? Now... how often do you hear about it when 2 people die in a suicide bombing? That is national news! :rolleyes:

WASHINGTON (AP) - Leading moderate Democrats criticized two of their party's presidential candidates Thursday, even as former President Bill Clinton called for an end to intramural squabbling.

The Democratic Leadership Council, a centrist political organization that helped catapult Clinton to the presidency in 1992, ended its two-day strategy session with swipes at Howard Dean and Dick Gephardt. The bickering underscored a constant tug-of-war between the party's liberal core, which tend to dominate primary elections, and the moderate wing that carries the day in general elections.

A memo written by Al From and Bruce Reed, the chairman and president of the DLC, respectively, suggested that Dean is an elitist liberal in the tradition of former Sens. George McGovern, the party's 1972 presidential nominee, and Walter Mondale, its candidate in 1984.

"What activists like Dean call the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party is an aberration: The McGovern-Mondale wing, defined principally by weakness abroad and elitist interest-group liberalism at home," the memo said.

The document was released at a DLC news conference, where Reed said Gephardt's health care reform plan is too expensive. "Every primary season unleashes the pander virus," the memo said.
